DEATH LETTER BLUES

Our good friend Eddie 9V and his immensely talented brother Lane produced this track, a cover of the Son House classic “Death Letter Blues”, by Atlanta legend and Blues troubadour Tinsley Ellis. Director/Editor Troy Bieser and cinematographer Jordan Pilgrim took a morning to capture Tinsley doing his thing unadorned. The result is a simply stark but hauntingly beautiful performance video that tells its own story about love and grief through impressionistic frames in black and white. A tip of the hat to Johnny Cash for sure.
The song and video was released along with Tinsley’s album “Naked Truth” on Alligator Records in February 2024.
